Det tok tre veker for Mini å komma fram til Man-O-War Cay frå Victoria i Australia.
Onsdag morgon hadde dei ei samling. Då har dei kristendom eller naturfag. Nokre gonger les læraren for dei. Elevane har uniformar på seg på skulen. På Man-O-War All Age School er det bare 18 elevar. På øya bur det bare 275 menneske. På Bahamas er det mange små øyer.

6.klasse har laga kostyme til Mini. Kostymet har fine fargar og dei hadde tatt fjær på det. Han var med på Junkanoo. På Junkanoo kler dei seg ut. Då kler dei seg i glade farger og dei speler musikk. Dei som har best eller finast kostyme har vunne.

På julafta går mange på julegudstenesten Dei fleste på Bahamas opnar pakkane på morgonen på første juledag. Bak skulen på basketballbanen samlast dei etterpå. Dei et i lag, pratar saman og etterpå kjem nissen med ein liten pakke til ungane.

På Man-O-War Cay har Mini fått vore med på sjøen i ein fin båt som var laga der nede. Han har vore på skulen i lag med elevane. Han har fått vore med på eit selskap dei hadde på matvarebutikken. Mini er på vei til USA nå. Larry er læraren der nede. Han har tatt Mini med på juleferie. Mini er på veg til Massachusettes nå. Me gleder oss til Mini kjem heim for då får me sjå kostymet til Mini.

Me har fått ei gåve frå Larry. Han sende oss ei avis; The Abaconian. Det ver ein artikkel om Mini i avisa. Me fekk ein flott CD med over 70 bilete frå opphaldet til Mini på Man-O-War Cay og Florida. Mini feira jul med Larry og familien i Florida før han reiste til Massachusetts..

It took Mini three weeks to travel from Victoria in Australia to Man-O-War Cay at the Bahamas. Mini started off Wednesday morning with an assembly together with the students from grade 1-6. They study Bible lessons on some days and nature lessons on some. At other times, they
listen to stories read by one of the teachers. The students wear uniforms at school. At Man-O-War All Age School there are just 18 students from grade 1 - 6. The island has a year round population of about 275 people. There are many small islands at the Bahamas.

Grade 6 made a Junkanoo costume for Mini. It is a brightly coloured costume with feathers on. Junkanoo is a celebration where people dress up in costumes like the one Mini got, join the big parades, play music, and compete for prizes for the best demonstration of the Junkanoo tradition.

On Christmas Eve, the churches will have their services, after which, the families will return to their homes. Most presents are given on Christmas morning. Upon awakening on Christmas morning, the children check to see what Santa brought them. After breakfast the families gather behind the school on the community basketball court. They eat, talk and sing carols. Then there is another visit from Santa. Each child receives a gift from him.

Mini has experienced a lot at Man-O-War Cay. He has been boating, joined the students at school, attended a celebration at the local grocery store and much more. Now Mini has left the Bahamas. Larry, the teacher, took him to Florida where Larry and his family will celebrate Christmas. Mini is going to Massachusetts next. We look forward to see the Juncanoo costume when Mini comes home! We have got some presents from Larry. He posted us the local paper; The Abaconian. They have written about Mini in the local paper. We also got a lovely CD with over 70 pictures from Mini's visit in Man-O-War Cay and Florida. Mini celebrated Christmas with Larry and his family in Florida before he traveled to Massachusetts.
